Colliers

Ethereal Elegance, East Preston
With its subtle colours and unique shapes, this elegant shaker-style kitchen maximises the light and space this room offers.

The bespoke Loxley furniture is painted in soft colours, with Farrow & Ball Ammonite on the wall units and Little Greene Lead Grey on the island. The Silestone Ethereal Glow worktops only enhance this delicate and harmonious colour combination, and the veining detail on the worktops makes them particularly stylish. Another chic feature is the curved breakfast bar in Silestone Gris Expo with a Lamb’s Tongue edge profile. This splash of a darker shade is enough to add depth to the design and to pick up on the grey mirror splashbacks, without detracting from the light and airy feel of the room.

The design’s most distinctive feature, though, is the long island, which not only provides ample preparation space but also links all parts of the kitchen together. The island’s shape makes the room feel particularly cohesive, as it fans out into a curve which runs parallel to the tall units. Besides giving the design a sophisticated touch, these curves add interest and softness to the long island, so that, rather than imposing on the design, it stands as a beautifully elegant centrepiece.
